Intricate jungle scenes to color and try to find the hidden object hidden in the foliage. And when you’re finished coloring, just tear the perforated poster from the pad and frame your masterpiece for everyone to see!

Hidden in the Jungle – Sarah Muzio: Adult Coloring Book Review

This is a gorgeous book. Well, it is not really a book but an art pad with a cover. Both the front and back of the cover have colour printing and there are some gold foil highlights on the front cover. You could color in the cover if you used markers.

The pad inside comprises all the beautiful jungle inspired drawings. The individual sheets can be removed easily from the page. You could choose to either remove the images or keep them in the pad. At the back of the pad is a very thick card making a useful support if you colour on your lap.

There are 60 illustrations in the book and they are quite detailed. I am not sure about some of the animals being classed as “jungle” natives though. For example, one of the first images comprises a koala bear. Whilst they live in trees there are not a lot of jungles in their native Australia 🙂

The paper is good quality and thicker than most colouring books. However, it is not cardstock. If you were going to use markers with the poster pad I would put a protective page in between to prevent bleed through. I would be more inclined though to tear out the page you wish to work on and attach to a clipboard (unless you like the illustrations to remain in the source).

The pages in this book are quite large. It is one of the largest coloring books that I have in my collection. each page is approximately 37 cm in length and nearly 27 cm wide. The book/pad is also quite heavy due to the heavy card backing and the thicker pages.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
