Jenn Ski has illustrated this lovely book for Just Add Color. The book features fine line work of modern century modern animals.

Just Add Color books all come in the same size format of 25.5 x 21.5 cm approximately. The spines are all printed in a different color making them to easy to locate on your bookshelf. The images are printed on white paper that has a good tooth and it is perforated for easy removal.

The Just Add Color: Mid Century Modern Animals Book contains 30 illustrations by Jenn Ski. The illustrations have lovely fine black line work. It is easy to imagine these colored pieces as fabric around the home used on cushions and the like. If you look at the artist’s blog working in textiles is something that she does do. While I appreciate the drawings and can visually see them as homewares as a coloring book I would prefer more detailed illlustrations.

For those that are visually imparied, have issues with motor skills or prefer to color with large spaces and without detail then you will enjoy the beauty of this book. The art work features fish, cat and birds all drawn in the mid century modern style. My favorite illustration in the book is the cover image and I look forward to coloring that.
