Colleen 120 Coloured Pencils Swatc
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Colleen coloured pencils. Colleen pencils have been manufactured for years out of Asia – mainly Thailand and Japan (as far as I am aware).
It is my understanding that they are considered to be budget or student grade pencils in Asian countries.
For me, they are one of my favorite pencils to use. They are soft but not too soft, creamy but not too waxy and firm but not too hard. Just like Goldilocks for me these pencils are just right 🙂 . Now, just because I like them does not mean that you would like them too 🙂
Here’s a few reasons why I am fond of the Colleens:
- colors are different to other sets of pencils that I have
- the barrel is not so thick that it is uncomfortable to hold for a period of time
- they are creamy without being waxy
- the softness of the pencil makes them easy to use with a wrist injury like I have
There are also some things that I do not like about my Colleens:
- no open stock available
- the tips can crumble on sharpening
I have a number of packs of the Colleen 72 Neon coloured pencils that I have previously reviewed here.
As soon as I found out that Colleen were releasing a large 120 set of pencils I knew that I had to have them!
The video above is not a review of the pencils but an unboxing, color swatch and identification of pencils that are not in the 120 set that are in the smaller set.
My pencils were purchased from this seller as she shipped to Australia. I had checked with a number of sellers but they either did not ship to Australia or the shipping and purchase cost, for me, was higher.
The pencils arrived extremely well packaged and when expected. As this is only a small seller, she does not have a store front – you just message her and she will give you the price. When I purchased I asked for an invoice to be sent via Paypal and that’s how I paid. I do this in order to track my purchases.
When I get a chance, I will review the 120 set but in the meantime enjoy looking at these gorgeous pencils 🙂
Happy coloring x
Lea
Does it have the colors from the 72 pastel version?
