At the introduction, you are encouraged to follow the young girl through the book and use your own imagination to create a story. The young girl always reminds me of Daria herself. I love the way that a similar looking young girl features in all Daria’s books for consistency.
Working your way through the book by coloring, completing open spaces and completing puzzles. You will find dot to dot to connect, puzzles, paper dolls, and games. At the start of each chapter you are told of the activities and what you need to do. Of course, you can be a total rebel and ignore the interactive aspect and just color 🙂
As most readers know, I am a huge fan of Daria Song. I often just look at her Instagram page and admire her colored artwork on coloring pages, china and especially her collages. In The Mysterious Mansion the illustrations for the games and puzzles are so incredibly detailed and presented they are an artwork in themselves. I will be inspired by these pre-colored pages for many years.
