This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!
This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.
Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

Luna Coloring Book
The wait is almost over for Maria Trolle fans with the English edition of Luna being released this month.  The coloring book is being published by Maria’s usual US publisher, Gibbs Smith who always replicates the Swedish edition as to paper and cover.   This hardback coloring book promises “Enjoy a moonlit walk through a garden full of gorgeous flowers, discover fabulous plant treasures in a dense forest, and tiptoe around fairy tales at every corner. Gather your thoughts and calm your mind by coloring all of the beautiful plants and animals in Luna. A register of plants, birds, and butterflies is found in the back of the book.” I imagine because of the moonlit theme that there will be many pages with black backgrounds already pre-done. I have not peeked at Luna to see if that is true or not. I want to have a surprise when I see it 🙂

Fragile World Coloring Book
The UK edition of Fragile World Coloring Book was released a month ago and now the US gets to enjoy this beautiful work (personally I think it is Kerby’s best book so far).  Fragile World has a theme of endangered animals and the worlds that they live in.  At the back of the book, there is a legend that sets out the identity of the animals and why they were included in the book.  This book promises “exploring fifty-six endangered, vulnerable, and threatened animals and landscapes—from the Tapanuli orangutan to the hawksbill turtle, from Philippine bat caves to the Baltic Sea.” The US edition is published by Plume.  You can see my review of the UK edition here.

Worlds of Wonder: A Coloring Book for the Curious
The latest coloring book from Johanna Basford is due for release in the US and UK at the end of March 2021. Johanna showed a flip-through of the book together with her inspiration behind the illustrations on Facebook live last week.  The publisher’s blurb promises “Within these pages, you’ll find tree-top castles, floating islands, and fairytale villages, all waiting to be brought to life in your colors. Go on an adventure and let your imagination roam from world to world, discovering enchanted sea turtles, curious cats, and lost songbirds along the way. ” I can’t wait!

Woodland Mandalas Coloring Book
Thaneeya McArdle has a new coloring book out in the US this month. Featuring cute woodland creatures incorporated into mandalas.  The book is published by Design Originals which includes 9 colored inspirations images, tips, perforated, single-sided paper. The book promises to include “40 intricate mandalas with seasonal elements including flowers, butterflies, hedgehogs, chipmunks, birds, and more”

Another great title from Creative Haven. This jumbo-sized coloring book does not have any details on the product page at the time of writing. However, it is more than 3 times the size of a usual Creative Haven coloring book so it will keep you coloring for a long time!

Archaeology Today: A Colouring Book
Something very different from the usual coloring book illustrations. This is part educational and part coloring with as the book features a “short introduction to the world of the contemporary archaeologist, exploring new approaches and theories of investigation. With text by professional archaeologist Cornelius Holtorf and beautiful, highly detailed illustrations by archaeologically trained professional illustrator Daniel Lindskog“. Although the book is aimed at children, the cover illustration looks lovely and the subject matter may be interesting to you.

I Heart Koalas Coloring Book
Part of I heart Coloring series of books this time the themes is koalas. The books are great for travel being smaller than most coloring books. As part of this publication, a percentage of proceeds of sales will go to koala and wildlife charities affected by bushfires. The publisher’s blurb promises “Packed full of cuddly koalas, this book also features cute kangaroos, wonderful wombats, and plenty of luscious plants and flowers”

Fairy Wedding Coloring Book
by Deborah Muller is due for release this week.  At the time of writing, the cover art was not available.  What I have seen of the book so far seems to feature ….fairies in lovely gowns with a variety of hairstyles and profiles.   I love the concept and theme of this book and look forward to seeing the look inside when it has been uploaded to Amazon
