This week my Top Ten Tuesday is all about the books that got away lol! Seriously, they are the books that I wanted to buy but when I looked at my budget …they had to stay in the shop :). Sometimes, I’ll put a book on my wish list and end up happy that I didn’t buy it because my coloring mood has changed and I no longer fancy it. Here are ten books that have stood the test of time on my wish list!
1. Coloriage Wild
There are now 5 books in the Coloriage Wild series featuring gorgeous characters and beautiful flowers or animals. These spiral-bound coloring books have stood the test of time with me and I still find them as adorable as when I first set eyes on them.
You can see the Coloriage Wild series of coloring books on Amazon or Etsy
2. Serene
I was so intimidated by Serene when it was first released that I could never imagine coloring it but I still loved it for the gorgeous artwork. I was lucky enough that a beautiful lady gifted me her additional copy of Eirine so I have been able to enjoy the artwork of Nicholas F. Chandrawienata
You can see Serene Coloring Book here
3. Slavic Beauties Coloring Book
This is the first hardcover coloring book by Krystyna Nowak. I am lucky enough to have her Slavic Beauties Color and Cut Coloring Book and her beautiful Queens of Poland coloring book. Slavic Beauties is a gorgeous coloring book and is getting hard to come by so I hope that I can add it to my collection soon.
You can see Slavic Beauties Coloring Book here. Krystyna also sells digital coloring pages on Etsy which you can see here.
4. The Inspiration Grayscale Coloring Book
I adore the artwork that Julia Spiri produces whether it be cute animals, adorable girls or realistic grayscale. Unfortunately, Julia draws faster than I color so I felt that I should not buy more books until I had colored in the ones that I already have. One day though …I will definitely get this one and the ones listed below
You can see The Inspiration Coloring Book here (this book is grayscale)
5. Mythographic Color and Discover: Animals
When this coloring book was first released…I wasn’t that interested in it because it reminded me a lot of Kerby Rosanes’s artwork which I already have. Over time, I have really started to like the Mythographic series of coloring books …..but I still don’t own a single one lol!
You can see the Mythographic series of coloring books here
6. Circle Portraits Coloring Book
Laura Rafferty is a talented illustrator and artist. You can see her YouTube tutorials on her channel here where you are sure to learn something new. Laura has released a couple of coloring books and my favorite is Circle Portraits which features …portraits of beautiful girls in a circle :). She also has a range of digital coloring pages for sale featuring a range of subjects in her store here.
You can see Circle Portraits Coloring Book here.
7. Loveliness Coloring Book
I adore the artwork of Grazia Salvo and this coloring book available in both paperback and spiral bound is one that I drool over. Her hardback coloring book, Wild Soul is one of my favorites (and I think I have a hope of actually completing the book!). Grazia also sells a range of PDF digital pages in her store here.

8. Colouring Fantasy 2
The cover on this coloring book by Scott Howden always delights me. I can imagine myself being swept away into a beautiful dreamland every time I look at it. It’s just so pretty!
You can see Colouring Fantasy 2 here
9. Serene Little Village – Coloring Book
This coloring book is just so cute! It features all sorts of cute little animals like mice and bunnies enjoying everyday life in their village.

10. Disney Dreams Collection Coloring Book
Another book that totally intimidated me when it was first released …….and to be honest it still does! The artwork of the late Thomas Kinkade depicting my favorite characters from the world of Disney is hard to resist. Unfortunately though there is not a lot of line detail in the coloring book ……which others find creative and I find scary. It is so beautiful though, that I would love to color in it ……but I’ll need a lot more practice first!

I would LOVE to know what books are on your wish list – let me know in the comments below!
Happy coloring x
Lea
Wow! I’ve been a fan of your site, but I’m stunned to see Circle Portraits here ❤ Thank you so much for your kind words!
You are very welcome Laura! It’s a stunning book! It’s made less intimidating with the excellent tutorials that you have suitable for colorists of all skill levels.
Hi Kari live in us most of the books that are on your wish list I can get here for the selling price on Amazon except colariage which was selling on amazon but shipped from UK so that cost me about $24. However the rest are fairly cheap. If you would like me to package them up and ship them for you I don’t mind doing it for you for the cost of ship and the books. I usually use USPS, but I’m sure I could figure out ups or DHL. I get shipping discounts through PayPal and we could create a listing on eBay and use global shipping. I won’t charge you a fee or anything. Just to help you get the books you wish for. I have Slavic beauties cheap on amazon but I’m dying for queens of Poland which I can’t get here!!
That was supposed to say Lea. And what I meant to say we could use any of the methods listed above for shipping or whatever you prefer. Using eBay global shipping is a suggestion but if I can just use PayPal I think I can select from various different shipping methods and choose the cheapest one. If you give me the list of all the books you want I can get the prices for you and the cost on amazon.us you could also look them up. Perhaps I was thinking of I package them up and ship them all together for you. You wouldn’t have to pay so much for shipping. We could try and see if it’s more or costs too much-then maybe you will just have an excuse to visit us here in the US!!
awww Yvette you are super kind! I love visiting the US and it’s been a few years now so I’d be glad to nip over once the world returns to “normal”. Unfortunately, I can’t take you up on your sweet offer at the moment. As I’ve been without a job for nearly 3 years now I’m super careful where I spend pennies. Between the exchange rate between US/AUD and other countries and shipping ..it’s all out of reach at the moment. One day though I’m confident that I’ll be able to add these books to my collection. In the meantime, I really appreciate you and your generosity of spirit x PS I like the name Kari much better than my own!
