Tangled Treasures Coloring Book – Adult coloring Book

Tangled Treasures is by Australian artist Jane Monk. In this book she has compiled 52 of her tangle based drawings into an adult colouring book.

Jane is a self taught artist who excels with the art of tangling.

This is one of those books that I wished I had when I first started being involved in adult coloring. At the start of the book you will find an abundance of information about color theory, techniques and tips. I really like this section. It also covers backgrounds and highlights, which most books do not incorporate in their tips sections (if they have one).

The next section of the book is just as good as it contains a colored drawing. I assume because of the layout of the image that this is meant to be cut out and used as bookmarks.

The illustrations are all printed on good white paper and the paper is perforated for easy removal. The line work is crisp, black and very easy to see.

The majority of the images feature zentange designs. Some of these imagess have large spaces which will be suitable for those with visual difficulties. There are also many zentangles with small sections which may cause issues for those with arthritis, motor neuron issues or visual impairment.

I really like the selection of the whimsical issues like the flowers and birds,
fish and sea horses.

There’s a large range of variety with the images which are sure to have something to please everyone in the family.

I really like the fact that the images are perforated as it makes sharing and coloring together easy.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
