Skymningstimman Coloring Book

Maria Trolle has announced that her new coloring book, Skymningstimman, will be published on 31 May 2017. Maria has previously created the beautiful Blomstser Mandala Malarbok which was later released in English as Twilight Garden. Her second coloring book was based on a children’s story that this talented artist also wrote, Vivi soker en van. At this stage, an English publisher has not acquired the rights to publish this book in English.

The name Skymningstimman roughly translates to Twilight Hour in English.

Skymnings Timman looks like it will follow the same layout and design as Blomster Mandala. There will be 96 pages and many pages with black backgrounds.

The pictures that Maria has shared certainly look beautiful.

So yesterday I finally got “Skymningstimman” to the printing house. Six months of work is over, and it really has been pure happiness to make all of the drawings for this 96 pages book. Feeling very blessed to get to do this for a living. Ps. There will be PLENTY of black background drawings but the images on this pic is my original artwork, the black backgrounds are made digitally.

The only disappointment that I have is with Maria’s publishers, Pagina Forlag who also publish Hanna Karlzon’s books and Emelie Lidehall Oberg. It is disappointing that the release dates for all the new books by these popular Swedish artists were not at the same time.  Their international fans wouldn’t be burdened with additional postage to add to their collection had that been the case.

International colorists can buy the book from the Print Works Marketplace when it becomes available for lower postage. Residents of Sweden may prefer to use Pen Store for their orders.

English Imprint

An English edition of this coloring book will be available in March 2018 under the title of Nightfall.
