Romantic Italy Coloring Book Review

Romantic Italy is illustrated by talented artist,  Augusta Schinchirimini.     Augusta, has divided  her first coloring book into 5 different themes of Italy Carnevale in Venice, Fairy Tale Characters, Forests & Gardens The Sea; and Classic Ceramic Designs.

Augusta’s work has a real hand drawn feel to each of the 50 illustrations as she refrains from using computer technology to digitalise the images.   This means that some of the line work may not be as sharp, as other coloring books you own, but on the whole the line work is very easy to see.

Each of the images is surrounded by a nice border and is well centred on the page.

The book comes with a soft cover and measures approximately 28cm x 21.5 cm.    The paper is thin and is of the type normally used by independent coloring book artists.     The paper is usually fine to work with providing you put a blotter behind the image that you are working on.  Although, it may not look like it in the review, the paper is white.

The illustrations are well thought and imaginative. As the artist uses the whole of the page with her design, there is plenty of things to color in. I love the Fairy Tale Characters section out of all the themes in the book the best.  The artist has given a new look to some old faves and surrounded them with a beautiful background.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
