Rather than having a full-page color swatch that makes it difficult to see how different color combinations work, I have decided to make my swatches paint chip style.
Paint chip style resembles the small swatches that you will find of paint at the house paint store. Just like those paint chips, I’ve added the color name and number on the swatch to make it easy to identify.
To ensure my swatches do not get misplaced, I have added a space to hole punch the swatch, without losing your color swatch. I’ve threaded my individual paint chips onto different colored keyrings representing each color family. You do not need to use a number of keyrings though. You could use a big keyring or a piece of string, whatever you fancy.
Initially, I created my paint chip swatch as a three-page swatch fitting 50 Prismacolor Premier pencils on each page. Each page was designed to fit Australian A4 paper or US Legal.
I have since updated the swatch so it fits 75 Prismacolor pencils on two pages to print out on Australian A4. If you are using US Legal you can use the “scale to fit” function on your printer to print out.
You can see how the two pages differ from the three-page version here.

You can download the swatches here:

Three Page Prismacolor Paint Chip Swatch
Once I colored my swatch charts, I had the full page matt laminated, cut them out and hole punched each “chip”.
I hope you enjoy using these Prismacolor swatches.
