Pictura Prints: Art Deco Adult Coloring Book Review
This Pictura set of 12 posters is approximately 34.5 cm in length and 27 cm wide.
This set of posters is inspired by the art deco period. The forward of the book gives the colorist a brief overview of this period in history. The era is known for its abstract, modern and cubism styles. The publisher describes the art deco period as a bold style which is almost impossible to ignore.
The paper is thick cardstock and some of the best quality paper that I have in my coloring book collection.
The images are printed on single sided white cardstock and glued to the book binding for easy removal.  The illustrations fill the whole of the page. They are easily detached from the poster pad you will have no difficulty coloring to the spine of the pad, as you would in other books.
The illustrations celebrate the era with scenic views of tropical beaches, well known pattern styles, buildings of the era and travel/transport related imagery. This was an exciting period of history, in between wars and prior to the austerity of the depression. It was celebrated in colour, boldness and style. This is a great era for the colorist to really immerse themselves in the colours of the period and perhaps update to their own style.
On the reverse side of each image are a few words about the art deco period. The messages on the reverse do not show through the heavy card stock paper that is used.
If you love to use markers you will be in heaven with the paper quality of this product.
