Peter Pan – An Enchanting Coloring Book
I love the way that coloring has given me an excuse to revisit all my favorite fairy tales from childhood. The story of Peter Pan with the delightful Tinkerbell is one that I have been looking forward to seeing in coloring book format. This gorgeous coloring book featuring Peter Pan measures approximately 8.5 x 10.2 in.
It has a card cover that folds out that you can color. The inside of the cover is filled with stars of various sizes waiting for you to color.
The book feels slightly chunky and that is because at the rear of the book there is a lovely coloring poster that you can pull out and color.
The book starts with a protective title page. The page is plain which is a shame 🙁 Following on from that we move into the coloring book proper with a title page with several elements worthy of coloring. I would have loved to see a beautiful nameplate page, but this is probably just a quirk that I have 🙂

Gorgeous illustrations featuring Peter Pan & Wendy
This book is what I class as a classic coloring book or an heirloom book. It is designed to be colored and shared with your child or perhaps given as a gift. Inside the book you are introduced to the story of Peter Pan with 4 pages of an abridged version of the “story” surrounded by elements to color. Following on from that the remainder of the book is pure coloring.
Illustrations are printed on both sides of the paper. There are a number of double page spreads, night time scenes with pre-printed black backgrounds, sailing ships, butterflies and of course, Tinkerbell.

Peter Pan Coloring Book
The paper is white and of a medium quality. The illustrations are printed on both sides of the paper.
The line work on the images is black, crisp and ranging from fine line weight to medium line weight. I had no difficulty viewing the illustrations without my glasses on.
I love the range of images. There are buildings, clocks, people to color offering a lot of variety for the colorist. In addition, the images offer a range of complexity with some illustrations having finer detail whilst others have larger spaces to color. Colorists that are skilled with technique for achieving a wood finish will love many of the illustrations in this book. Colorists that do not use techniques will love the way that the illustrations will suit solid blocks of color.

Escape into a world of dreams and fantasy
The book lays down flat quite well with some gentle prodding. This is useful as most of the images are double page scenes with line work in the spine area of the book.
One of the things that I really like about this classic coloring book is that they have separated the narrative well from the images. Colorists that do not enjoy a lot of commentary beside their art will be happy that the commentary is confined to the first pages. Those that want to use the book as an heirloom have a good mix of short story and illustration.
