Out of This World Coloring Book  Review

If you are a fan of sun, stars and moon then this might be a coloring book that appeals to you. Published by Creative Haven, who are well known for producing good quality coloring books, that are generally suitable for all ages.

Cover & Layout

Out of this World Coloring Book has a soft cover and follows the same format as all Creative Haven coloring books. There is a colored image on the front cover and the cover art has been reproduced in the book for you to color as well.

A partially colored image features on the back of the book.

Inside covers, both front and back, show 2 inspirational colored images from the coloring book. These are always a great addition to a coloring book and can help you visualise how you would like to color a picture yourself.

The coloring book is standard Creative Haven sized being A4 (approximately 8.5 x 11)

Ancillary Pages

A full page has been used for the title page with copyright information on reverse. The art work on this page has been drawn in a grey line and may be difficult for some colorists to see. This would be the best place to test out your mediums.

There are 31 illustrations to color which have been printed on one side of the white paper. The paper is slightly thicker than tradestock and has the advantage of being perforated for easy removal.

All of the art work has been well centered and positioned on the page.   Each image is contained in a border.

Out of This World Coloring Book Images and Illustrations

There is a lovely variety of images within this book some more quirky than others.   You will find plenty of planet based illustrations with the sun, moon and stars featuring.     There are also fun images, like fun little doodles, cloud faces blowing in the wind and adorable rainbows.

Some of the drawings are very detailed with a lot of small spaces and elements that may be taxing for colorists that have a minor visual impairment.

The line art is black, crisp and very easy to see, although it tends to fill the page.

About the author

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
