Natural Enchantment Coloring Book 2018

French artist and illustrator, Emilie Jarrige is the talent behind the Sakuems brand. You may have seen her paintings, art books, prints and stationery items on Instagram.

Hey all ! Here’s the final piece done with about 35/40 #copicmarker, some #coloured #pencils from #FaberCastell and my #Luminance pencils from Caran Dache. I spent about 5h on this #artwork titled Isis and it was done on a #shikishiboard, an art board made out of #ricepaper. I don’t recommand for #marker cause it’s bleeding quite a lot but it’s so nice to have sturdy surface and the #gold detailing around it. It can work with marker but not for beginners. I have made a #video time lapse of this piece along with a detailed voiceover giving you 5 ways I overcame my #Artblock. In late 2018 Emilie released her second coloring book, Natural Enchantment.

Layout

Both of Emilie’s coloring books are premium grade, artist edition coloring books featuring high quality paper and spiral binding.

Natural Enchantment Coloring Book features a glossy front and back cover with 20 unique illustrations of beautiful women and fairies inside.

Each illustration is printed on single sided paper to ensure that a wide use of mediums can be used.

Art Work

The illustrations included in Natural Enchantment have been presented in both portrait and landscape format.

Emilie has provided a good mix in the coloring book of illustrations that fill the page with detail and illustrations will less detail.

Emilie has great skill at drawing faces that are both expressive and beautiful. Delicate shading is used to guide colorists when coloring these faces.

In addition to the beautiful faces many of the pages feature butterflies, flowers and elements of nature to color. This adds to the calming and carefree feel the illustrations have.

Line art is printed in a dull black/grey which has the appearance of pencil on the pages. The line weight varies with some lines being light and textural. Colorists that have a minor visual impairment may find that some of the lighter lines are difficult to see and could use a color wash over those areas.

Coloring Book Formats

Emilie has ensured that all colorists tastes are catered for with her new coloring book. She has created three formats for her book, as follows:

• Watercolor paper (300 gm)
• Cardstock paper (300 gm) (suitable for markers)
• Digital PDF download (print on paper of your choice)
