  • part colored dust jacket that is white with a slight texture (you could color it if you wanted). Fold-out flaps feature black and white illustrations to color
  • Inside dust jacket features a black background with white floral line art that you could color
  • kraft style card cover featuring an illustration of the title to color
  • blank protective pages front and back could be used to test out your mediums
  • double-page printing with an abundance of double-page spreads
  • illustrations feature flowers, interiors, cute animals, nature, dresses, and tea parties
  • there is an amazing variety of different elements to practice different techniques on including fur, petals, bark, metals, sweets, and china among other things
  • there are a number of illustrations that feature such small detail that you would need amazing eyesight to complete.   If they are too detailed for you, I suggest a color wash rather than attempting the itty bitty details
  • there are a number of “filler” style pages featuring patterns that may not be to everyone’s taste
  • line art is a dull black
  • line width varies between fine and medium but is easy to see
  • the book appears to have a lay-flat binding which makes it easy to color in the center of the book
  • many illustrations do run to the center of the book
  • the paper is white, smooth, and medium quality suitable for pencils
