Easy Cute Coloring Book Video Review
I hope you enjoyed the Easy Cute Coloring Book Review of this cute Japanese colouring book.
Easy Cute Coloring Book Review
According to Google translate, that I have such high expectations of, this colouring book is called Easy Cute Colouring Book. It is certainly cute with a capital C. This is a colouring book that I could not wait to get filmed, so I could dive in and have a play. Honestly, colouring like a kid and having fun was just so incredibly relaxing. There was no bad blending attempts, color theory or anything fancy pants at all – just good old fashioned grab a pencil colouring fun. Sometimes I think we need a book where we don’t take ourselves too seriously and just have a good time with it. For me, this is that book. The night I started “playing” in my book I was still up at 2.00 a.m colouring!
Cover & Layout
The cover is a glossy soft cover with little portraits and stamps featuring simple images in color. This is what you will find inside on the whole. Simple, easy outlines with cute, fun themes.
The back cover features a coloured duck with a crown against the beige background.
On the inside glossy cover the color has a gold textured look to it with a cute bunny urging us to try. The back cover features some coloured pencils which appear to indicate different layers of colors and some advertisements for other books.
This is a small colouring book measuring in at 21cm x 21cm.
Ancillary Pages
A cute title page opens the book featuring the characters waving hello to us. You can color this line art as your introduction to the book.
This is followed by 15 coloured pages of tips, pattern ideas and coloured inspirational images.
At the end of the book some cute pencil shaped line art has been printed. I think is meant to be a place for you to test out pencil layers and blends, that you might use in the book.
Layout
Illustrations are printed on both sides of the off white, smooth, medium-heavy paper. All of the illustrations have been orientated portrait style. There is only one double page scene in the book. The line art for Illustrations does run to the spine of the book in some cases, but it is quite easy to fold down for ease of colouring. The coloring book has page numbers on it, presumably there is a reason for this that is outlined in the text that I cannot read 🙂
Easy Cute Coloring Book Images and Illustrations
This book is pure fun and joy. The images are simple designs which can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Many of the illustrations have a lot of elements on the page but they are not complex images.
If you want to, you can add additional elements to some of the pictures as indicated in the tips at the beginning of the book like dots, stripes and the like or just color as they are.
You will find cute characters, animals and child like drawings of houses, mermaids, cute fruits and the like throughout the book.
This is a coloring book suitable for colorists of all ages and skill levels.
Line art is black, crisp and very clear with a medium weight throughout. When coloring, I noticed that my wax based pencils, Colleens, were easier to use on the paper than my oil based pencils that I tried, Marco Raffines. Your experience may, of course, be different.
