Various pictures with a Christmas theme created by a number of different artists. One of the nice features is there are some images with a pre printed black background.

Creative Christmas – The Gift of Colouring for Grown Ups

This book is published by Michael O’Mara who have published a number of colouring books for adults.

The cover is card with gold and red foil highlights and green printing. The back cover has been printed in full color with a black background. There are some opportunities, if you wished, to cover the balance of the front cover.

Creative Christmas measures approximately 22.5 cm x 22.5 cm. The cover folds out to show you some Colourful Craft Ideas that you can create with your completed colouring pages. It is a shame that the inner cover was not printed as well. The back cover fold out gives you two notecards and a bookmark that have already been printed, you just need to cut them out.

The images within the book seem to be computer generated. I base that opinion on the fact that there is no artist shown and a lot of the images have a “sameness” quality about them. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with using computers to generate digital images just that I place a higher value on hand drawn art work.

You images are all printed on good quality paper. I would, however, test your markers on the cover page before you start coloring. The images are printed on both sides of the paper. Some images have a black background which is always a nice touch I think.

As you would expect, there are images of Christmas trees, reindeer, snowflakes, ornaments, gift boxes and stockings. There also appears to be random images consisting of patterns, mandalas and flowers. It may be that these have been included to give variety to the colorist so that they are not overloaded on the Christmas spirit 🙂 I would have preferred if the book had more Christmas images in it and if the mandalas and patterns still carried the Christmas feel.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
