Creative Cats – Adult Coloring Book

Creative Haven produce numerous coloring books for adults. Their books are always good value for money. Creative Cats is illustrated by Marjorie Sarnat who has illustrated a number of their books.

Perhaps because I would love to have a cat, but do not have one, or maybe it is just me, but I adore these cute tapestry style, decorated cats.

Cover & Layout

The book measures 28cm x 21 cm which is the standard size for the Creative Haven series of the book. The soft cover has a colored image of the cat on it. The inner covers also have pre-colored cat images on it to inspire you in your coloring.

The paper is white and thin. However, the images are printed on single sided paper that is perforated for easy removal. I would remove the images and use a clipboard to color them.

Illustrations

I adore the cats with different patterns on them and backgrounds contained in the book. The artist uses the whole of the page for her illustrations so there is no need to think about backgrounds as it is already there for you. My one complaint is that the cats all tend to look rather similar and it would be nice to have more of a mix of breeds and poses.
