Dr. Ernest Drake gave Latin names to various species of dragons he identified. The names, as well as the English translation and profile information of each dragon, has been included on the back of each illustration

different levels of complexity with the images
Some illustrations may be too detailed for those with a minor visual or motor impairment. In that case, a magnifying glass or a color wash could be used to color the picture

many illustrations allow the colorist to add backgrounds if they wish
