Colour My Sketchbook Volume 1 – Adult Coloring Book Review
Colour My Sketchbook Volume 1 – Bennett Klein
Colour My Sketchbook by Bennett Klein is the first colouring book published by this talented artist.

It has a black cover that whilst it looks textured is in reality flat with a waxy finish to it. There is nothing to color in on the front cover but you won’t need to because there is plenty inside to keep you amused.
The illustrations consist of 25 greyscale illustrations.
The illustrations are all nicely centred on the page so you will not have difficulty coloring near the spine.
The beauty of greyscale is that a lot of blending and shading has already been done for you. If you have not already tried greyscale follow Bennett on Facebook where he gives away coloring pages from time to time. Download one and try it out and see how you like it.
I find it difficult to describe Bennett’s artwork. It is finely detailed and intricate and always contains some form of surprise. Whether it is a woman with a peacock headdress or a simple picture of a zebra all is not what it seems.
The paper quality is thin and of the same quality as most independent artists use. The paper is fine to color on provided you pop a few pieces of paper behind the image you are working on. This is always good practice as it avoids bleed through to the other page or dents from an over enthusiastic pencil tip.
