At Serenity Coloring, we believe that the overall stress level in the world has increased in the last decade or so, and for some people, just getting through the day is really hard. We all need a way to calm our minds and just relax for a while, and we want to help. Sometimes just putting all the stress aside and concentrating on coloring a picture, or a pattern for a little bit can help draw your mind away from all of that day-to-day noise. It can help you gain a sense of calm, focus, and clarity that you can then use to face and deal with the issues causing your stress. And after the year that was 2020 (and it seems possibly 2021), who can’t use a little of that?
There are many benefits to coloring as an adult, and stress relief is only one. It can also help you to relax, and sleep better, develop better focus, and find your creative genius that’s been overwhelmed by the stresses of everyday living.
But we believe the biggest benefit of all to coloring as an adult is that it’s FUN! You can color as an activity with your kids or with a group of other adult friends. Have a coloring party, and invite your friends over to join you. Or, in today’s world, it’s even an activity that can be done together separately over Zoom or whatever your favorite video conference preference is. Adult coloring can be a very social activity for all the colorholics in your life.
