Beauty of Horror III – Haunted Playgrounds Coloring Book
We got to know the creepy Ghouliana in the first Beauty of Horror book.   In a master stroke, Ghouliana became the central character in Beauty of Horror II.  Even hardened fans of cutesy illustrations like me started to fall for the deliciously creepy Ghouliana.   In addition to Ghouliana evolving in Beauty of Horror II,  Alan Robert her creator also evolved as well.  Alan’s art work became more scene based in Beauty of Horror II, and the focus became creating an atmosphere on the page that colorists adore.  The original Beauty of Horror coloring book is a fantastic book, that outdid itself with Beauty of Horror II. I have no doubt that Beauty of Horror III will exceed my expectations. It seems that her creator and illustrator has found the way to best represent her on the page, for interpretation by colorists.

Beauty of Horror III is being published by IDW who have consistently produced quality, luxury coloring books with great paper and covers.  It is clear they will follow the style of the previous coloring books with an intricate cover and foil highlights.
Ghouliana will be travelling around the world in Beauty of Horror III showing us her favorite spooky spots and introducing us to new characters.  There is no doubt, that this will not be your usual travel themed coloring book.   The cover art and the sub title of Haunted Playgrounds makes me conjure up images of more creepy clowns that would give Stephen King nightmares.
