Beautiful Day is a gorgeous Korean coloring book illustrated by Korean artist, Young Mi Park. The book measures approximately 24.5 cm x 24 cm. The cover is card with some pink, yellow and blue pre printed areas and hot pink foil embellishments. A simplified version of the cover page is shown as the title page in the book.
I absolutely love this book. The detailed line work and the imagination of the illustrator are amazing. This is a book very well suited to those that can blend and shade to bring out the art in the book. I am not at that level so I will just look at it for longer 🙂
The paper is slightly off white and thin. It is not as thin as the paper produced by Create Space on Amazon but is not as thick as you would hope for a book of this type. At a guess, I would think it is about 100 gsm – I could be wrong! The illustrations are printed on both sides of the paper.
The first image is of a beautiful old sewing machine like you have never seen before, followed by campervan, piano etc. You will see the most beautiful patterned designs on all types of things from a carousel to animals – all the things that make a Beautiful Day. I love the line work of these illustrations and the imagination of the artist.
