Arrtx 112 Acrylic Markers Review
Arrtx 112 Acrylic Markers – Features
- The Arrtx acrylic markers come in a range of set sizes from 32, 64 and 112. This is currently the largest set
- the markers are dual tipped with one end having a brush tip measuring 3.2mm and the other a fine tip measuring 1.9mm making them suitable for large elements and fine details.
- Although I only tested the markers on Neenah cardstock and copy paper, according to Arrtx they can be used on a range of surfaces including – rock painting, metal, paper, wood, plastic, canvas, fabrics, ceramics, and more
- Colorists will enjoy the flow of the markers, the dual tip and comfortable barrel to hold. They are great for adding details to coloring pages, color by number books and anything coloring related! You can add shading to the markers with colored pencil if you wish as well.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- wide range of colors in the set
- variety of sets can be purchased to suit all budgets
- comfortable barrel to hold
- dual tip to suit a range of work
- great color saturation on most markers (except A103 and neons)
Cons
- the boxed packaging makes removing the markers difficult
- markers only fit in the box one way
- the trays for the markers do not have slots so they are stable when moving the box around
- difficult to read the silver typography on the barrel
- neon colors do not appear to be well saturated or bright and vibrant once dry
Arrtx Acrylic Markers Swatch Chart
In the swatch chart below I have colored the first square twice, the second once and drawn a stroke with the fine tip. Note, it looks like a hair on the chart but it is actually a printing error.
If you look at A103 of the chart the color does not seem to cover as much and seems patchy. This is the only marker that produced that result for me.
