Alice In Wonderland story and colouring book – illustrated by Nikki Wright

Note:  You should note that the title of this book on some editions is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

If you have read other posts on my blog, you will know that Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz are two of my all time favorite fairy tales.      Whenever these stories are mentioned I no doubt will be a little bit biased 🙂

Australian illustrator, Nikki Wright, was commissioned to illustrate the drawings for Alice in Wonderland to compliment the story by Lewis Carroll.    She is also illustrating the Wizard of Oz as well 🙂

Cover & Layout

The book has a lovely card cover holding the 140 pages of illustrations together.  It measures approximately 9.6 x 9.6 inches.    The cover is not colourable but there are plenty of other things to colour!

Illustrations

This is the type of book that makes me wish I had children.     I could imagine colouring the book in, doing my very best top notch efforts, and having it as a keepsake for years to come.   Maybe, even the type of treasure that they would keep for their children.      The book is part story, part colouring.    You can imagine reading the story to your child  and then colouring in the beautiful illustrations that accompany it.

There are so many interpretations of Alice in Wonderland from an artistic point of view that there is always room for more Alice in Wonderland on my shelf.

The illustrations are printed on white paper.    It is not as thick as I would like it to be, but it is certainly not flimsy.   The illustrations and story are laid out in story book form with printing on all sides of the paper.        Test your markers in an unobtrusive spot to avoid any bleed through.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
