Melt Magic Cinnamon Coloring Book  Review

Melt Magic Cinnamon Coloring Book has been produced by the Instagram artist,  Cinnamon, who is an amazing talent.  I fell in love with her gorgeous illustrations as soon as I saw them.    They are sweetly whimsical and cutesy in the lovely Japanese style of manga or anime. As well as illustrating she is fabulous at using watercolors, producing beautifully dreamy illustrations. Of course, as soon as I seen the Alice in Wonderland picture in this little book, it had to be mine 🙂

Cover & Layout

The cover is card with a partially colored image on front and back.

Melt Magic is only a small coloring book measuring in at 25.8 cm x 18cm approximately.

On the inside covers you will seem lovely colored pictures from the coloring book.

Ancillary Pages

There are no ancillary pages.

Layout

The colored images are printed on both sides of the sturdy, off white, smooth paper.   The paper is like a thin card stock – medium to heavy in weight.

A staple binding has been used.

As this is only a small book, there is  no difficulty in laying the pages down flat to color.

Coloring Book Images and Illustrations

Melt Magic contains 12 illustrations of cute little girls that the artist has drawn over the years.    The illustrations include the cute girl from the cover.    Some of the drawings have been named,  Rose Bouquet, Alice in Wonderland, Flower Fairies for example.    There is a lovely variety of different girls being portrayed with different hairstyles and clothing detail.    The bulk of the illustrations also show some form of flower to color in as well.

The artwork has a distinctive hand-drawn style.     Ink is a dull black and most of the pictures have additional texture added to them or gradients to make it easier to follow and color in.

Colorists with a minor visual impairment should be able to see the line work without issue.   However,  the hand-drawn style means that there are line color variations where some lines may not be as easy to see.

The artwork in Melt Magic is so sweet and innocent with a dash of fun (donut dress anyone?) that it is hard not to fall in love with it.

Bonus

The little book also came with a color print postcard.   This is one of the images from the book.   The card has been printed on a lightweight card and is not as thick as most postcards.   It’s far too pretty for me to part with in any event 🙂

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
