Derwent Chromaflow PLUS Prismacolor Premier

One of the biggest issues I have with the Derwent Chromaflow colored pencils is the lack of reds/browns and greys in the 150 set.

To solve this problem, I decided to combine the pencils with my Prismacolor Premier pencils to see if I could create some more color blends in the colors I find lacking. Both pencils are wax-based, so in theory they should combine beautifully…and they did.

This set of 30 color combinations combines two of the Prismacolor Premier pencils and two of the Derwent Chromaflow pencils to create some reds, browns, and grey blends. This is the first sheet in this combined pencils series. Stay updated with my blog or YouTube channel for more.

One of the best things that I found with combining the pencils was how smooth the blend was, and it didn’t have the usual pencil dust and wax bloom that is so common with the Prismacolors on their own. It is too soon to tell if this was luck or normal, though.

You can download the free 30 Derwent Chromaflow combined with Prismacolor Premier pencils here. The chart is US Letter-sized and is available as either blank for you to complete or pre-colored.

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
