Yonat Katzir Coloring Art Cards

A few weeks ago I was lying in bed, as I had been doing for weeks, sick. Every virus, infection and the like that was going around had decided to attack my body which was weak and defenceless from being sick for two months, just a few weeks earlier. Most of the time I was struggling to breathe, and some of the time I was scared to sleep in case things took a turn for the worse. To say I was feeling like hell is an understatement. I was feeling pretty sad and sorry for myself and, to be honest, wondering if I would ever get better.

One afternoon hubby came home and said I had a package from Israel. I thought I must be delirious from all the medications that I was popping because I hadn’t ordered anything from Israel. It was a small package with lovely stamps on it (it is so nice to see stamps rather than a franked or pre paid label – they are like little coloring books).

Cover & Layout

I ripped open the package and like Pandora’s box there was another envelope inside.   I instantly knew who it was from. Only Yonat Katzir can package a product with such lovely attention to detail. I weakly crossed my fingers and hoped it was cards (I had wanted the cards in her shop after I purchased my bunny book from her). As always, the inner envelope is decorated with a delicate paper doily and secured with a gingham bow. Pretty little stickers and stamps adorn the rest of the package with a beautiful gift tag attached! I am constantly amazed at the effort that this artist goes to when packaging her products and branding herself.  It was the cards!!!

Receiving these cards when I was sick was just the nicest thing, it makes me all teary eyed thinking about it now. It really cheered me up when I was feeling pretty low. It was made extra special by her just sending them to me, because she knew I liked them.

These lovely cards are packaged beautifully in a beautiful lime card fold out pack. The package has a cut out on it which allows you to have a sneek peek of the first card inside. The front cover of the pack has a whimsical image on it, part of which has been printed in pastels. The back cover of the pack features thumbnails of the 8 cards inside. The images can also be found in my bunny coloring book – the review of which can be found here.

Illustrations

The illustrations on the cards fill the whole of the card and are whimsical and cute. The scene depicted on the front of the pack, in reverse, is included. There are two beautiful girls with oodles of detailed hair to color, a flying bunny, lovely folk art style birds and whimsical pictures.

On the reverses of each card there is a frame design where you could write a message. The frame is intricate and there are a lot of small details to color here, some of which you may need a fine liner for.

The cards measure approximately 11.5 cm x 16.5cm (4.5in x 6.5in) and are white matte acid-free heavyweight cardstock. The set is completed with matching purple envelopes (in case you can bear to part with your colored cards).

About the author

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
