Parisian Street Style – The Colouring Book

You might know this book under a different name from Parisian Street Style – adult colouring book.  It was originally published in 2015 as Paris Fashion Week and later the title was changed to Parisian Street Style.

The book is a square shape approximately 24.5 cm x 24.5 cm. The cover is grey and orange and there are some images that you could color in with markers or gel pens.

As you would guess from the title this coloring book represents the style of Paris. You will find illustrations of flowers, cafes and of course fashion. The illustrations are all printed on double sided white paper. The paper quality is very good but not card stock quality. As usual, protect the reverse of the page with a piece of card to prevent any bleed through from watercolors or markers (or copy the page)

Some of the illustrations are printed to the spine of the book making it difficult to color in those spaces (unless you remove the pages). On the whole though there are more images that are well away from the spine of the book.

The illustrations have a good variety and offer the fashionista colorist the opportunity to be fashion designer/colorist all in one! The images are not intricate on the whole so they should be manageable to color for people of all skill levels.

The book appears to be hand illustrated (although I could not find mention of that). I believe that it is hand illustrated as the line work is often a little shaky, with different weightings of lines that you associate with hand drawn images rather than those that have been created or cleaned up with software.

I like the fact that a lot of the images are patterns of bags, shoes and the like which are interspersed with a variety of illustrations. It gives the colorist a variety within the book and an opportunity to do human bodies, hair and the like.

At the rear of the book are thumbnails of the illustrations within. If you like itty bitty pictures to color these will be an extra bonus for you.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
