Day of the Dead Coloring Book – Thaneeya McArdle

This adult colouring book is published by Design Originals and illustrated by Thaneeya McArdle.   Thaneeya is well known for her vibrant artistic style of artwork.     Design Originals always present this art work in the best possible way by including colouring tips at the start of the book, coloured art from the book and general colouring advice.   The images are all printed on white paper that is perforated for easy removal.

In the Day of the Dead coloring book you will find a number of sugar skull images and some skeletons.    Some images have very little patterned detail on them to give the colorist the opportunity to add their own.     Personally, I’m not a fan of adding my own pattern to line work but some people enjoy the creativity.   The images are all cutesy so if you are looking for a scary Day of the Dead book this is not for you 🙂   On the reverse of each  image there is  a quote.    The lettering for the quote is in grey so as not to show through to the illustration on the other side.  I would have liked to see more detailed images throughout the book which is my negative for this book.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
